Pharmaceutical-fold map, luminescent cover

CS Lewis was born and brought up in east Belfast. To mark the centenary of his birth a festival was held there in November 2013. The key event was a candlelit children’s procession to a Victorian gas lamp standing outside his alma mater - Campbell College – which is said to be the inspiration for the lamp at the entrance to Narnia.

The use of a hand-drawn map alluded to the work of CS Lewis’ favourite illustrator Pauline Baynes and allowed us to disguise the large distances separating the key locations along the trail.

The cover was screen printed with luminescent ink that glowed in the dark as the children walked through the school grounds at dusk.
