C3 is a scheme set up by Craft Northern Ireland aimed at inspiring a new generation of collectors. Providing opportunities for new audiences to collect contemporary craft, C³ promotes investment in high value, museum-quality objects.


It was important that the C³ identity conveyed these values while not competing visually with the work it promoted. We developed a minimalist logotype and black palette that will become, in effect, an assay mark for craft work of the highest standard. 


The geometric letterform was created in 3D by lofting and rotating a square along an arc. The resulting sculptural form - to the power of three - became a focal point of the brand mark and neatly referenced craft practice, as well as subtly echoing the design language of luxury goods retailers.
